Vanessa Phillips
Ms. Phillips received her dance training at the Infinity Ballet Conservatory for eleven years. She studied Classical Ballet with Debra Senchak, Lisl Vaillant and Brian Youngkin, which also included National Character Dance. Her contemporary studies were primarily with Chad Wilson in Horton Modern Technique and Kathryn Murphy in Classic Jazz, Musical Theater and Acting. During her training period she participated in Infinity Ballet Theatre’s performances. She was invited into the Infinity Ballet Theatre Company and performed as a company member for five years, three of those as a pre-professional dancer. She performed as a lead dancer in several IBT repertoire, including Sugar Plum Fairy in Nutcracker Dances and Maruska in Treasures in the Snow.
Ms. Phillips completed a teacher training course in dance for the beginning studies for preschool and early elementary school ages, as well as the first year of the beginning studies of Classical Dance. She worked as a teacher assistant under Anna Marie Kool and Janice Bartik for several seasons before taking on her own young children’s classes.
Vanessa is very excited to have the opportunity to teach at the Conservatory. She hopes to share the knowledge and experiences she has had in her years at Infinity Ballet with her students.
